Tiny original print of a photo by Waldo van Suchtelen (1918-1993) made on the Amsterdam Leidseplein square, in the summer of 1941. Actor Jan van Herwijnen (1921-1984), walking naked in an attempt to become famous. He was arrested by the Dutch police (working under German occupation) and taken to a mental institution. Jan van Herwijnen was the son of painter Jan van Herwijnen (1889-1965) and the uncle of actor Carel van Herwijnen (1941-2008). After the war photographer Waldo van Suchtelen was the first person to win the 'Silver Camera', the annual prize for Dutch photojournalism.
